Overview

GKG is seeking a Personnel Security Specialist to join our team.

 

Responsibilities

Contractor personnel serving as Personnel Security SPC shall be responsible for coordinating the completion of "consent-toscreen" types of forms from contractor employees as well as working hand in hand with the Program Management Office for all prescreening checks and hiring actions.  The contractor will be responsible for determining when a new investigation is required. If a new investigation is required, the contractor will submit the investigation request via the Personnel Security Investigation Portal (PSIP). Contractor shall review the Electronic Questionnaire for Investigations Process (e-QIP) investigation request (formerly the Standard Form 86) for derogatory information and shall coordinate the submission of fingerprints through the Live Scan (or successor system) available at Army Recruiting Stations.

 

Other duties as assigned.  

Qualifications

  • Current Secret Clearance
  • Access to Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS)/Defense Information System For Security (DISS) is required and will be provided by the USACC Personnel Security office. 
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of the Army organizational structure, mission objectives, function, procedures, agency regulations and policy pertaining to the Department of the Army
  • Possess computer skills, to include operation of Microsoft word processing, spreadsheets, and graphics programs, performance of user maintenance, Microsoft Windows environments, and familiarity with e-mail and internet environment and operations
  • Will be subject to background checks for Positions of Significant Trust and Authority (POSTA)
  • Will be subject to pre-employment and/or random drug testing
