Overview

GKG is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in the coming months.  We expect award on this position in the September timeframe.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and performs a wide range of project budget and financial management actions, including but not limited to, formulation, monitoring, and execution of project finances; budget reconciliation; and annual, quarterly, and adhoc budget reporting and analysis.
  • Ensures that ongoing projects are implemented in accordance with sound financial policy and procedures. Tracks project funds, budget formulation and execution, and commitments.
  • Oversees and develops, where necessary, automated systems for tracking the principal budgetary elements and processes in the project’s finances.
  • Manages all matters relating to the budget formulation, monitoring of expenses and interpretation of financial data related to the funding of buy-in actions by other agencies.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in managing and analyzing the budget and finances of complex projects.
  • General knowledge of budget processes, including analysis and interpretation of data and presentation of findings in written and oral form.
  • Knowledge of project budget procedures and regulations.
  • Broad knowledge of project accounting and the ability to understand and derive budget and project information from accounting and budget monitoring systems.
  • Ability to effectively identify, mobilize, and draw upon the expertise of technical and managerial personnel at various levels and with wide experiences.
  • A Master’s degree in finance, accounting
