Overview

The Survivor Outreach Services (SOS) Regional Coordinator (North West) is responsible for overseeing the operations and compliance of SOS State Coordinators across multiple states or territories. This role ensures proper documentation, training, and adherence to Army, National Guard Bureau (NGB), State National Guard (NG), and Installation Management Command (IMCOM) policies. The Regional Coordinator serves as a mentor and advisor to staff, facilitating program understanding and compliance while ensuring efficiency in operations. 

 

Please note that this position is contingent upon the successful award of a contract currently under bid.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all SOS State Coordinators accurately maintain and update activity records in the designated systems of record. 
  • Monitor data entry for consistency, accuracy, and compliance with established guidelines. 
  • Ensure SOS State Coordinators correctly log work hours in the contract timekeeping system. 
  • Verify that staff submit travel authorization requests and expense reports in accordance with contractual and regulatory requirements. 
  • Provide guidance and oversight to ensure that all SOS State Coordinators receive proper training to perform assigned duties effectively. 
  • Develop and implement training initiatives to enhance program knowledge and operational efficiency. 
  • Advise and mentor staff on SOS program policies, ensuring compliance with Army, NGB, State NG, and IMCOM regulations. 
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, addressing program-related inquiries and challenges. 
  • Assist in the interpretation and application of program guidelines to maintain alignment with organizational objectives. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with Army, NGB, State NG, and IMCOM policies and regulations related to Survivor Outreach Services. 
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Proficiency in data management and timekeeping systems. 
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 – 5 years of related experience. 
  • Experience providing support services in a military, government, or social services environment. 
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License. 
  • Must be able to travel within 50 miles of the worksite routinely and long distances when required. 
  • Must have a favorable FBI fingerprint card check and initiate a Tier 1 or equivalent investigation (as determined by the Government) before access to Government system can be granted and shall maintain the level of security required for the life of the contract. 

Desired Qualifications

  • Certifications in grief counseling, social work, or crisis intervention. 
  • Training in trauma-informed care or mental health first aid. 
  • Additional experience with Army Community Service (ACS) or casualty assistance processes.
